FUEL began in 2009 with the goal of gathering all middle and high school students in the area (specifically Cashiers, Highlands and Glenville,NC) for the soul purpose of breaking down barriers that divide and joining together in celebrating what they have in common... Jesus Christ!
The youth in our area have really stepped up in their relationship with Jesus and their involvement within the community. Many have gone on life-changing missions trips to West Virgina, Bolivia, Spain, Brazil, Guatemala and local missions such as, the food pantry and community garden to benefit those in need. Their excitement and hunger for more of Him was evident last year in a student formed, 7AM Bible study at a local coffee shop. The depth of hunger for a real, authentic relationship with Christ is evident!
Could it be that this generation is ready to take the mantel of humility (like Jesus did) and be true warriors for Him in a world that says, "You've lost your mind!" and "You're only a kid!" Is this a generation of Joshuas and Isaiahs, Nazarites, evangelists, orators and revivalists? The Lord is calling the youth to step up, and into His calling for them! The Lord is calling for those willing to advance in their walk with Jesus in order that He may be glorified and win the lost, the seekers, the wanders to a relationship with Jesus!
Is this YOU? He says, "YES!" In Ephesians 1:11-14 Paul tells the people in Ephesus, "In Him (Jesus) we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of Him who works our everything in conformity with the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of His glory. And you were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession - to the praise of His glory.
